Echo House
WJS&A is currently working in conjunction with Echo House
Multi-Service Center (Echo House) on the implementation of a
capital project to construct a 24,000 square foot multi-service
facility.  The site is located on the 1700 block of West Fayette
Street, also known infamously as “The Corner.”  The facility
would be used by Echo House as a treatment center for the
homeless, as well as the elderly, adolescents, and substance
abusers.  WJS&A has been working to create a cost effective
design plan for the house while concurrently addressing the
programmatic needs of Echo House.  WJS&A anticipates
managing the project through completion, beginning with its
expected construction start date of April 2007.

For the past 40 years, Echo House has been helping substance
abusers of all ages rehabilitate not only themselves, but their
families as well.  Their main focus is on families living at or
below the poverty level; their goal is to work with these
families to help them realize their full potential.  They are
committed to providing the best service possible for their
clients through rehabilitation, counseling services, learning
programs to educate adolescents, and even financial aid.
Echo House and its staff have provided services to the
community for over four decades, and they plan to carry on
that tradition well into the future.
